This is a carving of real bone. Made to look antique. It is called Bone Nang Hai QuanYin mountain.
Many Chinese charactors and fairies meeting with the Kwan Yin are carved on the mountain, together with many beautiful trees, flowers and temples
It is all hand carved and hand painted scrimshaw work
It is made of natural bones carefully hand fitted together.
It takes sculptors 5 months to complete.

THIS PIECE OF ART IS ALL HAND-CARVED. HUNDREDS SMALL PIECES OF BONE JOINED TOGETHER TO BUILD UP SUCH A HUGE WORK.

IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT BONE POWDER, PLASTIC, RESIN, OR FISH BONES.

WE DO NOT KILL ELEPHANTS OR OTHER ANIMALS TO GET THE BONES.
WE ADOPT IT AFTER THE ELEPHANTS DIE IN NATURE
WE USED TO CARVE IN IVORY, HOWEVER, SINCE ELEPHANTS WERE PROTECTED FROM BEING KILLED ILLEGALLY,
WE HAD TO USE BONES INSTEAD, AS IT HAS SIMILAR FEATURES AND IS AS HARD AS IVORY.
